For each pocket, cut two pieces of fabric using the template as a guide. Use instructions in pattern to create the pocket lining. Ease in the pocket opening and pin in place. Using sewing thread and needle, whip stitch in place.
Assembly – Part 1
With WS of fabric together (lining inserted inside outer shell), match line of picked up stitches along collar, shoulder seams, etc. Whip stitch together the ridges along the back
neck, shoulder seams, and set-in sleeve. Make sure this doesn’t show on either public sides.
Gallery above shows whip stitch along the set-in sleeve ‘seam’.
Assembly – Part 2
Using safety pins, tack the two layers together along all visible edges. Using lengths of CC, whip stitch all around these edges (including the button holes), thus fusing the two layers together:
Whip stitch around buttonholes too, thus anchoring both layers.
Sew buttons in place, using lockable markers and photos as a guide.
